Thursday was not a good day for the Fauci family, and it looks like the stress of it all might be catching up with them.
Hours after the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, led by Sen.
Rand Paul (R-KY), voted to hold Anthony Fauci in contempt of Congress, the diminutive doctor was seen outside his home sporting the sourest of faces as he moved recycling bins around his property in Washington, D.C.
He did not look at all happy, but his wife was the one who really let her emotions get the best of her.
After getting the recycling all squared away, Fauci hopped into the passenger seat of the family car, and his wife, Christine Grady, took the wheel.
She seemed to notice a photographer nearby as they drove out of their property and, much like her husband, she was not best pleased, flipping the photographer the bird as she peeled out of the driveway.
Maybe Grady was trying to turn her husband's frown upside down, but it looked more like they both were seething at the idea that the disgraced doctor might actually be held responsible for his actions during COVID.
As RedState reported earlier Thursday, Fauci was found to be in contempt of Congress after a party line vote by the very same Senate committee in front of which he pleaded the Fifth over 100 times.
The contempt charge now goes to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for consideration, and he could face some jail time if the case moves forward.
No wonder Grady was so touchy.
The thought of her husband being cuffed and stuffed was clearly too much for her.
Lest you feel too sorry for Christine Grady, though, just remember that she, too, was a COVID scold.
Here she is telling nurses they'd better get the clot shot or they'd face losing their jobs.
The tyrant gene is strong in this family, isn't it?
The Faucis spent years demanding that ordinary Americans blindly follow their mandates ... or else.
Now that accountability has come knocking at their own front door – and is attached to the grinning face of Rand Paul – they apparently can’t handle their emotions.
So, while we may not be seeing Dr.
Fauci sporting an orange prison jumpsuit – yet – there is some satisfaction in knowing how downright miserable the thought of being held accountable is to the pair.
At long last, it's the Faucis who must now sit down, shut up, and wait for the consequences to be dealt them.
