A bougie New York City bakery has denied a woman's accusation that they stocked croissants from Costco - and resold them to customers for a much higher price.
The woman, named Sreenitya, explained in a TikTok video earlier this week that she was at Le Parisien Bakery in Manhattan when she witnessed a man delivering some desserts to the French-themed cafe.
She shared footage of a guy carrying in multiple boxes of what appeared to be prepackaged croissants and placing them on the floor inside the shop.
Sreenitya alleged that one of the boxes had a Costco logo on it.
The video went viral, sparking immense scrutiny for the bakery, as many viewers accused them of 'ripping customers off' and presenting premade treats as freshly baked goods.
A worker from Le Parisien Bakery has insisted to the Daily Mail, however, that they do not get any products from Costco and that their croissants are made fresh.
The employee explained that they had simply 're-used Costco boxes' during a delivery from the company's production site in Coney Island.
'We have a company [production site] in Coney Island, they bring [the croissants] to us every morning,' they said.
'They just re-use the boxes.
They're not Costco croissants.'
In the video, Sreenitya raged: 'I can't believe this.
We're at this little cafe and we got this pistachio croissant for $12.'
'I was like, this is insane for a price.
And look at this,' she said, before flipping the camera to show the delivery man.
'This delivery guy just came in.
The croissants are from Costco.
Absolutely insane.
Don't come here, I don't recommend.'
On Le Parisien's website, the bakery said it 'prides itself on offering products of the highest quality.'
'Every item on our menu is meticulously crafted with care and expertise, using traditional recipes handed down through generations,' it adds.
'Indulge in our house-made pastries, where each bite is a testament to our commitment to excellence.
'From flaky croissants to delicate tarts, our bakery items are crafted with precision and love, ensuring an authentic taste that transports you to the streets of Paris.'
It also boasts about using 'skilled artisans' and 'the finest ingredients' in its items.
A box of 12 croissants on Costco's website costs just $6.80, which comes out to roughly $0.57 per croissant.
A plain croissant at Le Parisien Bakery is $5.
It comes weeks after famed California health food store Erewhon went viral for selling $12 'sacred water.'
The herbal tonic, which retails for $12 and is available at the store's tonic bars, is a blend of grape juice, coconut milk, coconut water and jasmine tea, 'delicately layered' with holy basil, anise, cardamom and raw honey.
The drink is sold in a 12oz cup, which means that each sip costs approximately $0.50 - and some fans weren't too impressed with the new and costly concoction.
