Through an extensive investigation, Agustin Vazquez-Castillo, 26, of Fortuna, was identified as the suspect in this case.
On July 15, 2026, a felony warrant was issued for his arrest on charges of arranging to meet with a minor for the purpose of committing a sexual offense and annoying or molesting a child under the age of 18.
On July 23, 2026, at approximately 12:20 a.m., a Eureka Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of Broadway and West Clark Street on a vehicle registered to Vazquez-Castillo.
Officers confirmed Vazquez-Castillo was the driver of the vehicle and took him into custody on the outstanding warrant without incident.
He was subsequently booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.
