DEARBORN, Mich. – A fire heavily damaged the playground at Nowlin Elementary School in Dearborn, leaving equipment melted and prompting an investigation into the cause of the blaze.
Police have not yet released information about the incident, and no injuries have been reported.
A photo captured by a Ring camera and provided to Local 4 shows flames engulfing the playground on Thursday (July 23).
When we arrived at the school, the playground equipment appeared extensively damaged by the fire.
The area had been cordoned off with caution tape as officials secured the scene.
It was not immediately clear when the fire started or what caused it.
Requests for comment have been made to the Dearborn Police Department.
As of 10:15 p.m., officials had not responded.
