Families can get free backpacks and haircuts for the kids at a near westside Back-to-School Resource Fair. 
The event, at the Haughville library branch, will also have free food and games, and provide connections to community resources. 
The resource fair is being put on by The Indianapolis Public Library in partnership with the Hawthorne Community Center. 
The fair will run from 4:30-7:30 p.m. 
July 28 at the Hawthorne branch, 2121 W. 
Michigan St. 
Families are encouraged to show up early. 
Organizers say they’ll give away backpacks, food and haircuts while supplies last.
