Families can pick up free backpacks and school supplies at an upcoming Back to School Bash on the near east side. 
Westminster Neighborhood Services is organizing the event, which will also offer free haircuts and family activities. 
The community nonprofit expects to serve hundreds of Indianapolis families at the Back to School Bash. 
The event will take place 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. 
July 25 at Westminster Neighborhood Services, 2325 E. 
New York St. 
The bash is free and open to all near eastside families. 
You can find a map of the nonprofit’s service area on the Westminster Neighborhood Services website. 
No IDs or registration are required to attend. 
Students must be present to pick up school supplies.
