A Mother Jones article examines a series of editorials showing the legacy outlet is obsessed with the wealth tax and “rooting for the oligarchs.”
The Post has run 10 opinion pieces arguing against taxes on wealth in the past five months, including “Lower inequality does not guarantee better democracy” and “Medicare-for-all means taxes-for-all.”
Another was written by former Senator Ben Nelson , senior adviser at “dark money” group Saving America’s Family Enterprises.

Bumpy road : The Freedom 250 Grand Prix cars will reach speeds of almost 200 mph and have enough torque to blow off manhole covers.
Penske Corporation president Bud Denker says Penske will pay for the “vast majority” of the race, including construction and improvements, while the city handles “very limited” repaving.

Speaking of vandalism : Lawyers for the Cultural Heritage Foundation says the government is working to “destroy the very evidence” in a lawsuit examining Reflecting Pool construction damage, and Foundation members want to access the site before the evidence is lost forever.
It’s asking a federal judge for permission to “assess the current state of the Reflecting Pool and the reasons for its problems.”
But the government is trying to keep the landmark site closed off.
