San Diego officials plan to host four public meet-ups in the next two weeks to share plans for future affordable housing projects on city-owned land.
In an open-house style, city officials plan to inform and collect input from the public about 11 project sites.
The public engagement is part of the city’s Affordable Home Development Master Plan, which aims to create a long-term strategy to construct homes on city-owned land near transit, jobs and community amenities.

3, San Ysidro Library, 4235 Beyer Blvd.
The city will share and collect input about a 1.25-acre vacant lot near Smythe Avenue and Beyer Boulevard, the only project listed for the region.
5:30-7 p.m.
Tuesday, Aug.
4, Mission Valley Library, 2123 Fenton Parkway.
The city will discuss the Allied Gardens Library, Linda Vista Library/Skateworld and Barnes Tennis Center overflow lot.
5-6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug.
12, Standley Recreation Center, 3585 Governor Drive.
The city will discuss the Rose Canyon Operations Yard and the University, Mira Mesa and Clairemont libraries.
6-7:30 p.m.
Friday, Aug.
14, Golden Hill Recreation Center, 2600 Golf Course Drive.
The city will discuss the Balboa Park Operations Yard and the North Park and University Heights libraries.
The city said “no housing is being built on these particular properties at this time,” and that its study will assess potential opportunities.
