Meanwhile, President Trump ordering a new set of strikes on Iranian military targets for a third consecutive night yesterday.
>> So, this as another blockade in the street of Hermuz is scheduled to begin this afternoon.
>> Mike Tobin is live in Tel Aviv with the details.
Good morning to you.
>> Good morning, Angel.
Good morning, gang.
We're waiting now for that blockade to go into effect, which should happen a little less than eight hours from now.
In the run-up, uh, there's been a flurry of Iran firing on commercial shipping
where the Dutch shipper Stoalt tankers now confirms that one of their tankers flagged the stol magnesium uh, flagged out of Liberia was hit that started a fire in the engine room.
And when we are seeing these strikes on the commercial shipping oftent times they are hit in the engine room uh, which shows precision fire on the part of the Iranians.
The crew was accounted for.
United Arab Emirates had two uh, tankers who were hit.
One crew member was killed.
Strikes on commercial commercial shipping prompted the US to launch strikes.
We've got video of a fire burning on Kish Island in the straight
after the US strikes.
But the US hit a number of targets up and down the coast of Iran as the president says the US is going to take control of the strait and charge 20% reimbursement for security.
>> We're putting the blockade back and it's a blockade not for anybody but Iran.
In other words, anybody doing business with Iran can't go through.
Everyone else will be able to go through.
So it's a blockade. It's a very strong blockade.
The blockade was probably more effective
even than hitting them. But I think the combination is the thing that that really does.
>> For the first time, the US used sea drones to attack an enemy.
Central Command says the drones hit Bondar Abbas.
The targets were a ship repair facility and a submarine.
US Central Command says they have been hitting maritime targets, uh, coastal facilities, and, uh, hardware to launch missiles and drones.
Angelie, guys, back
to you.
>> Okay, thank you so much, Mike.
Thanks, Mike.
>> So, the president is making it clear that Iran needs to come to the negotiating table, but it doesn't look like they're doing much negotiating.
Uh they continue to say that America is the aggressors.
I mean, we gave them that one day to honor their supreme leader, and then they were crying in the middle of the street, death to America, death to Israel, and they we've already uncovered another plot for them to try to assassinate President Trump.
So, the president is trying to get the world on on board.
Now, I understand I I don't want to be an elitist here.
I understand that the gas prices affect people on the day-to-day basis, but do we want to
really be dealing with this threat for the next 47 years?
We finally got opportunity to deal with it. We should just handle in now.
>> Yeah, that's exactly right. You can look at the crude oil prices now.
They've been fluctuating between they're like 79 to $80 um after this new blockade and after the president announced 20% toll.
Stocks did fall.
crude oil prices increase, but they're still not as high as they were back in the spring.
Now it's about you're going to if you go to a gas station on average in America it's 3.85 today.
Um but in the spring it was 456.
>> That's right. And so what you're looking at is roughly a 9 to 10% increase in
crude oil prices.
But as Lou Bassines, our Fox Business contributor, told you, I believe, Lawrence earlier this morning, he said, "This is all part of the president's negotiating tactics."
Listen here.
>> The president knows what he's doing.
We saw this with China uh and the tariff war, right?
Let's raise it to 100%. No, let's make it 200% and then it brings everyone to the table.
So, it's a negotiating sledgehammer.
And for the everyday Americans, I think the important thing is we haven't seen oil spike back to over $100 a barrel.
I think there will be some premium that gets paid, a tax, a toll.
It's not going to be the 20% that the president suggests, but he's right.
He said it to Reuters that we we have to get paid for safety and security in the straight, and
we shouldn't just let the Iranians dictate that.
>> All right,
>> we'll continue to follow that story.
