‘WE DON’T NEED ANY HELP’: Trump says US does not need China’s help with Iran rar 79%

He will make a stop in Alaska before going on to Beijing.
One of the major topics of his dialogue with Chinese leader Xiinping will be the Iran conflict.
Beijing has been a buyer of sanctioned Iranian crude oil and has been hurt by the straight of Hormuz closure which has sparked a global energy and economic crisis.
Before leaving this afternoon, the president was asked whether he would seek China's help in getting a peace deal with Iran.
White House correspondent Aisha Hosny is in Beijing tonight to tell us how the president responded.

Good morning from Beijing.
The president making some news on his departure saying that he does not need President Xi to intervene on his behalf when it comes to the conflict with Iran.
Although he did say he's going to have a long talk with him about it as China stands to benefit the most from a reopened straight of Hormuz.
You think he can help in any way?
>> No, I don't think we need any help with Iran.
We'll win it one way or the other.
>> Tonight, President Trump says he can handle Iran alone as he heads to China for a summit with President Xi in Beijing, noting though that China is the largest buyer of Iranian crude oil.
>> We're going to have a long talk about it.
They get a lot of their oil from that area.
We've had no problem.
And he's been a a friend of mine.
He's been somebody that we get along with.
And uh I think you're going to see that uh good things are going to happen.
>> Trump says the ceasefire with Iran is on life support.
Democrats say Americans are already paying the price.
>> He uh started this attack on Iran and gas prices went through the roof and 1500 tankers are s sitting in the straits of Hormuz trying to figure out what this president's up to.
The president also says he'll discuss Taiwan with shei, the largest chip maker in the world amid an ongoing threat of a Chinese invasion.
Tariffs, AI, and rare earth minerals used in chips are also expected to come up.
While American farmers hit by higher diesel fuel prices want China to buy 25 more million metric tonses of soybeans.
>> They are such a large buyer that if we lose that market, it's going to negatively impact soybean fire soybean farmers throughout the United States.
>> Trump is also bringing with him 16 tech and business CEOs, including Elon Musk, Apple's Tim Cook, and Black Rockck's Larry Frink.
A united front, says the US ambassador to China.
These people want a level playing field.
They're here to echo what President Trump is talking about and we welcome them and I think the Chinese do as well.
And John Fox has learned that we will also see on the ground here in Beijing the Secretary of War Pete Hexath, the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessett, the trade rep Jameson Greer, and the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who as you'll remember back in 2020 was sanctioned as a senator by China, banned from ever coming here.
That of course does not apply to the top diplomat now uh coming with the president.

uh surprised that they lifted the sanctions on Ribya, but he will be there as you point out.
