A Louisiana man was attacked by an alligator while escaping a traffic stop in St. Charles Parish.
A Louisiana man running from police at a traffic stop on Sunday ran into a different problem when he tried escaping
through the swamp. Victor Rivos was attacked by an alligator soon after he was pulled over.
Police body camera video shows the alligator swimming toward him.
Rivas was injured in both arms but kept trying to get away and he was later caught treated for non-lifethreatening injuries and arrested.
In a post about the incident, the sheriff's office said, quote, "Don't drive in pair, don't run from deputies, and definitely don't hide in Louisiana swamps."
