Tonight, after the US vowed to punish Iran for killing US service members in Jordan, we're learning another service member was killed in action, this time in northern Iraq.
SenCom says one more was hurt, now receiving medical treatment and remains were found at the site of the deadly attack in Jordan.
The military is now working to identify them.
It's unclear whether they're the remains of another service member listed as missing.
The total number of US forces killed in the Iran war now at least 17.
President Trump saying in an interview earlier, "We hate to see it happen.
It's in service to our country."
Iran unrelenting.
We arrived in Jordan to air raid sirens with more Iranian missiles intercepted close to the port of Akba.
One landed in a remote area.
Local officials said this new video shows missiles being intercepted and hitting Muafak Salty Air Base Friday.
It's a base for US troops, though it's unclear if it is the same strike that killed the service members.
>> Jordan calling the attacks unjustified.
Multiple countries hit again today.
Kuwait saying a dissalination plant was struck for the second time in two days.
And in another escalation, Iran accusing the US of hitting an under construction nuclear power plant.
The UN's nuclear watchdog investigating, but saying there was no record of nuclear material there.
US Central Command says its latest strikes were intended to hurt Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hamuz.
>> We've continued to degrade their offensive military capabilities.
>> Kier is joining us now from Jordan.
Kier, at this point it is not at all clear what a path to deescalate in the region may look like.
>> Hi, it seems to be spiraling.
By our calculation, in the 5 days before those service members were killed, this country intercepted 28 missiles from Iran.
When we got here, those air raid sirens rang out across this city. And
Hi. Tonight we're hearing reports of explosions inside Iran and of more missiles and drones fired from Iran.
>> Kier Simmons in Jordan. Thank you.
