Official tickets for the 2026 Field of Dreams game sold through MLB are no longer available, as the official ticket lottery closed on June 18.

Tickets can still be purchased through third-party resale platforms such as StubHub, though prices start around $1,200 as of July 31.

The first MiLB game played at the Field of Dreams Movie Site was held in 2022 when the Cedar Rapids Kernels lost 7-2 to the Quad Cities River Bandits.

The game will be streamed exclusively on Netflix, with coverage beginning at 5:30 p.m.

The 2026 MLB season marks Netflix's first year carrying professional baseball, and the platform recently aired the league's Home Run Derby on July 13. 
Why is the MLB coming back to Iowa? 
That inaugural MLB game at the Field of Dreams Movie Site was a huge hit. 
Actor Kevin Costner, who plays an Iowa farmer who plows over his corn to build a baseball field in the 1989 "Field of Dreams", led the two teams onto the field in a touching pregame show (Netflix tapped Costner to narrate a promo for MLB at Field of Dreams in a trailer for the Phillies-Twins game). 
The 2021 game ended with former White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson crushing a walk-off home run into the ballpark's cornfield. 
The MLB returned in 2022, when the Chicago Cubs defeated the Cincinnati Reds 4-2. 
Renovations to the site prevented a game from being held in 2023. 
In 2024 and 2025, the MLB chose to host its special event games at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama, and Bristol Motor Speedway in Bristol, Tennessee, respectively.
