Work on Aug. 2 on Interstate 5 between Kuebler Boulevard and Delaney Road to shift traffic onto newly paved lanes has been delayed, the Oregon Department of Transportation said.
Crews shifted southbound traffic into finished lanes in south Salem July 26.
In the coming weeks, they will complete the same shift on northbound lanes.
The original date for southbound lanes was moved after storms delayed the project, ODOT said.
The $55.5 million project to expand a section of I-5 to three lanes began in September 2024.
ODOT plans to widen the northbound lanes but has not received funding yet, a spokesperson said.
