President Donald Trump has selected Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Homeland Security Lance Schroyer to be the next Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director, citing his experience locking up “the worst of the worst.”
“Lance has over 29 YEARS of Law Enforcement experience in Oklahoma,” Trump touted on his Truth Social platform on Saturday.
Trump noted that Shroyer previously served as a U.S.
Marine and an Oklahoma State Trooper.
“He is a PATRIOT with real operational experience, and proven leader with DECADES of experience locking up the worst of the worst, including spearheading 287g Law Enforcement partnerships with ICE!”
the president wrote.
“Lance has firsthand experience getting Illegal Aliens OFF our streets and, just like ME and our Secretary of Homeland Security Markwayne Mullin, he LOVES the men and women of ICE.”
He went on, “Importantly, Lance Schroyer has what it takes to DETAIN AND DEPORT Illegal Alien Criminals, including murders, rapists, and drug traffickers at a rate never seen before!
Remember, our Administration has the HIGHEST Daily Arrest Rate by ICE and CBP than ANY other President, by far.
It’s not even close!”
Trump concluded his statement by calling upon the Senate to confirm Shroyer “IMMEDIATELY” and without delay to “MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.”
If confirmed, Shroyer will play a key role in executing President Trump’s immigration agenda.
Secretary Mullin, who represented Oklahoma in the Senate before being chosen to head the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), praised Trump’s pick in a statement on Saturday.
“President Trump made a great pick, and I’m confident Lance’s strong leadership and firsthand experience will empower the men and women of ICE to deport criminal illegal aliens, secure the homeland, and protect the American people,” Mullin remarked.
“It has been 11 years since DHS has had a Senate confirmed ICE Director.
The Senate must quickly confirm Lance Schroyer.”
Shroyer, who has nearly 30 years of experience, specializes in interagency collaboration, complex tactical planning, and constitutional safeguards in policy implementation, according to the DHS.
He has also served as a Major at the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety over the Emergency Services Unit, where he directed several specialized units tasked with recovering abducted children, disaster response, civil disturbance, immigration enforcement, dignitary protection, threat assessment and rapid response.
