President Donald Trump has warned that there's an intense and reemerging battle to combat communism in America, telling an evangelical crowd that left-wing ideologies inevitably leave societies in collapse.
While speaking at the Faith and Freedom Coalition Policy Conference on Friday, Trump argued that communism leaves people living in squalor without adequate food or military strength.
“Communism is very easy to sell.
But you’ll start living in squalor.
There will be no food, there will be no housing, there will be no military, there will be no law and order.
There will be nothing.
You’ll be Third World in every way, and everyone will suffer or die,” Trump explained.
This comes after a slew of Mamdani-backed candidates thwarted their opponents in their primary races this week, sparking fears of an emerging communist takeover in politics.
Pivoting to national policy, Trump stated that if he didn’t win the presidency the political and social landscape in the United States would look vastly different today.
“But as we celebrate this anniversary, we must also remember that our country could have been marking this occasion under very different circumstances,” says @POTUS.

“They turned a nation founded on freedom for believers into a place where Catholics were targeted by the FBI, a pro-life grandmother was put in jail for praying, and where members of our military were thrown out of the armed forces for their religious beliefs,” Trump stated.
“The radicals responsible for these offenses would have loved nothing more than to mark America’s 250th anniversary by driving God from our public square once and for all.
They wanted to do that.
I don’t know how anybody could vote for these people.
They were… and yet in many ways incompetent, certainly incompetent on policy.”
However, the president emphasized that it’s no longer the case, touting his administration's active efforts to restore what he described as the original mission of America’s founding fathers.
“Religion is back in our country, bigger and stronger than it has been in many, many years,” Trump concluded.
