National Historic Trails Interpretive Center to reopen after closing for repairs 8%

CASPER, Wyo. — The National Historic Trails Interpretive Center is scheduled to reopen to the public on July 28 following a 45-day closure required for essential facility work, the Bureau of Land Management announced Friday.
Upon its reopening, the center will resume its regular operating hours of 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tuesday through Saturday.
“Our mission has always been to preserve and share the story of the National Historic Trails and the people who traveled them,” Interpretive Center Manager Jessie Horn said.
“We are looking forward to welcoming visitors, sharing these stories and inspiring the next generation to connect with this history.
We’re grateful for our community’s patience and can’t wait to see everyone again.”
During the closure, the Fort Caspar Museum served as the temporary host of the center’s summer programming, including speaker series and historical reenactments.
While the Interpretive Center is returning to full operation, officials noted that the events currently scheduled to take place at the Fort Caspar Museum will remain at that location.
