Netflix and Tyler Perry have committed to telling more Beauty in Black stories as the streamer has renewed the drama series for a fourth season ahead of its Season 3 premiere.
In December, Netflix announced the show had been renewed for a third and final season.
The renewal arrives after a successful second season, released in two parts, which spent six weeks in the Global Top 10 and reached No. 1 in 17 countries, according to Netflix.
Beauty in Black is created, directed, written, and executive produced by Perry and follows two women leading very different lives.
While Kimmie (Taylor Polidore Williams) struggles to make a living after her mother kicked her out, Mallory (Crystle Stewart) runs a successful business.
They are entangled in each other’s lives.
In the upcoming third season, Kimmie finally has a seat at the Bellarie table, but when a deadly family feud erupts, she’s forced into an uneasy alliance with Mallory.
Together, they navigate a ruthless world of blackmail, revenge, and buried secrets as the family wages war against one of its own, threatening to bring the entire empire crashing down.
No date for Season 3 has been revealed.
