An off-duty NYPD cop was slashed in the hand in front of a Queens deli early Wednesday and police are hunting for two suspects, officials said.
The 30-year-old officer was walking with a friend near Bell Blvd. and 39th Ave. in Bayside when they stopped in front of a deli about 12:40 a.m. as two men on a scooter rolled up to them.
The suspects quickly got into an argument with the off-duty cop, officials said.
That’s when one of them pulled a knife and slashed the officer’s right hand before speeding off north on Bell Blvd.
It was not immediately clear what the argument was about.
Medics rushed the officer to New York Presbyterian-Queens where he was treated for a minor injury.
No arrests have been made.
Cops late Wednesday released images of the two men in the hopes someone recognizes them.
One of the suspects was wearing a white shirt and blue jeans, cops said.
The second man had a black shirt and camoflage shorts.
