The NYPD seized millions of dollars’ worth of bootleg luxury merchandise during simultaneous raids throughout Manhattan, cops said Friday.
Police executed multiple search warrants targeting vendors on Canal, Hester and Mulberry Sts. in Lower Manhattan, and on W. 27th St., around 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, according to law enforcement.
Merchandise including counterfeit perfumes, Rolex watches, knockoff Knicks apparel, sunglasses, electronics and Labubus were seized, in addition to $145,000 in cash, police said.
Video posted online by the NYPD shows officers loading a flatbed truck during the raid with seized merchandise stuffed into plastic evidence bags.
17 people were arrested and charged with felony trademark counterfeiting.
Thursday’s raid was a part of the NYPD’s ongoing efforts to crack down on the city’s trade in bootleg merchandise, and follows five raids targeting vendors in Lower Manhattan between May 20 and June 12, cops said.
