A Russian drone crashed into an apartment building in Romania and exploded, Romanian authorities said Friday, injuring two people and threatening to heighten tensions between Russia and NATO.
The Romanian Defense Ministry said the incident, in the eastern city of Galati, roughly 10 miles from the Ukrainian border, occurred during an overnight Russian attack on Ukraine.
The ministry said the drone hit the roof of a block of apartments.
