This week, the San Antonio Report launched new layouts for two of its most-read newsletters.
The new look for The Recap and Daily Reach aims to make these popular newsletters even more digestible, giving readers a better experience as they engage with the San Antonio Report’s local coverage.
The new changes include layout and banner redesigns, with a subtle San Antonio street grid underneath each newsletter’s title.
We’ve also added some new sections including The Big Number in Recap, with a new, short and sweet opening to begin each newsletter send, written by community engagement editor Morgan Severson.
Here’s more about each redesigned newsletter’s timing and purpose:
* The Daily Reach hits inboxes once daily at 6:30 a.m., with the morning’s top headlines.
* The Recap publishes every Monday and Thursday afternoon/evening, catching you up on all the news you’ve missed.

These newsletter changes didn’t happen out of the blue.
They happened after asking you, our readers, what you loved about our newsletters.
Incorporating reader feedback is a big part of our community service mission, and we plan to keep it up.
Right now, our Sunday morning newsletter is under construction, with plans to launch a whole new newsletter in the fall.

If you can’t get enough of the Report’s newsletters, we also have a Tuesday Business Report, an Events newsletter, an evergreen city guide newsletter series called Live Like a Local, and the politics-focused Bexar County Ballot, all of which are free to sign up and read.
Broadly, our newsletters are one of the best ways to interact with our nonprofit newsroom’s work: They guarantee that you don’t miss a feature, an update or breaking news on the local issues that matter to you most.
As always, thanks for reading.
I hope to see you in your inbox!
