MASON, OH  A man was shot almost two dozen times by an ex-coworker in a Cincinnati suburb, marking the city's only fatal shooting this year.
Mason police officers arrived to Carter Lumber on July 22 after 1 p.m. and found Vincent Stoetzel, a 29-year-old father of four, dead.
David Cohen, the man accused of shooting Stoetzel, fled the scene, but was later taken in to custody.
Cohen, 34, is charged with aggravated murder.
What led up to the shooting is still under investigation.
Here's what we know.
Who is David Cohen?
Two people who called 911 after the shooting identified Cohen as a former temporary employee at Carter Lumber.
One 911 caller said Cohen had worked at the factory the week before the shooting.
The caller declined to provide any more details about Cohen to The Enquirer.
Cohen lives in Hamilton.
In 2012, he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer in Hamilton County and was sentenced to six months in prison, court records show.
He is in custody at the Warren County Jail.
Cohen's next court appearance is at 11 a.m. on July 27.
Who was Vincent Stoetzel?
Vincent Stoetzel, 29, was identified by Warren County Coroner Dr.
Russell Uptegrove as the man killed on July 22.
On social media, people who knew Stoetzel remembered him as a religious man and young father.
According to a GoFundMe campaign set up for the family, Stoetzel and his wife, Maddie, share four children.
“He dedicated his summers to doing volunteer outreach,” Stacey Smith, who grew up with Stoetzel, told Enquirer media partner Fox 19.
“He always wanted to show God’s love in practical ways, so handing out bottles of ice-cold water, volunteering at free car washes, offering to pray for people.”
The GoFundMe raised over $80,000 as of July 24, two days after the shooting.
In a city with few shootings, 22 rounds were fired
Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell couldn't confirm the number of shots fired at the Mason factory because he hadn't received an official autopsy.
But a charging document filed in Mason Municipal Court said Cohen found Stoetzel in a warehouse and shot him with a pistol approximately 22 times.
A caller, who identified Cohen to a 911 dispatcher, said the alleged shooter "unloaded a whole magazine into my coworker."
Fatal shootings aren't typical in Warren County, Fornshell said.
The shootings he has seen during his 15-year career as county prosecutor have mostly consisted of three to six rounds.
There have been six aggravated assault offenses involving guns in Mason in the past five years and zero fatal shootings, according to FBI data.
