Alan Buhler, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and physician, passed away peacefully on July 21, 2026.
Born in the Bronx, New York, to Evelyn and David Buhler, Alan was known for his kindness, generosity, wit, and adventurous spirit.
He had a distinguished career in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Guam.
Alan was a cardiologist for over 40 years in South Florida, where he was a longtime partner at Cardiopulmonary Associates in Plantation.
He loved his patients, and practicing medicine was his passion.
Alan also believed deeply in giving back to his community and was involved with the Jewish Federation and Broward County Medical Association.
His commitment to helping others extended far beyond his medical practice and reflected the compassion that defined his life.
Most of all, Alan cherished the time spent with his family and enjoyed traveling with his children all over the world.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Judith Buhler.
He is survived by his wife, Lynn, of 37 years, and his six children: Adam (Su Young), David (Heather), Brittany (Omar), Alyxandra (Jeremy), Evan, and Jackson (Becca), along with his five grandchildren and his siblings, Barry (Fran), Robert (Joann), Gwen (Lloyd) and Karen.

His family is devastated by his loss but finds comfort in the countless memories they shared and in the lasting impact he made on his community over the course of many decades.
