Someone fired a gun during a road rage incident outside a library in Hingham on Thursday afternoon, police said. 
Police responded to the parking lot of the Hingham Public Library at 4:22 p.m. for “reports of gunshots fired after an apparent road rage incident between the people in two vehicles,” the Hingham Police department said in a press release. 
One of the two vehicles involved was still on the scene when officers arrived, police said. 
It appeared that the passenger in that vehicle fired his gun in the parking lot during the road rage incident, the department said. 
The passenger who fired his gun “suffered an apparent non-gunshot injury” and was brought to a hospital, police said. 
His injury was not life-threatening, the department wrote. 
The passenger has a gun license, according to the department. 
Police have not located the second driver, the department said at around 8 pm. 
Thursday. 
Police did not clarify if anyone involved in the incident is expected to face charges. 
Officers are still investigating the incident, the department wrote.
