A 5-year-old who went missing Sunday in Fort Bend County was found dead in a lake near his home Monday morning.
Edward Hall's body was located by Texas EquuSearch Search & Recovery around 1:43 a.m., according to a Facebook post by the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
He was last seen in the 3800 block of Ryans Rock Court in Katy Sunday afternoon.
Texas EquuSearch Search & Recovery was called to help search for the child.
"The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office extends its sincere gratitude to Texas EquuSearch Search & Recovery for its invaluable assistance and partnership throughout the search efforts," according to the post.
"Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Edward's family and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time."
The sheriff's office continues to investigate the death, but no criminal activity is suspected.
