Senate that one MAGA politician is already making plans to claim, because "YOLO," according to a new report. 
Emily Brooks, The Hill's reporter on the House of Representatives , said she asked a spokesperson for Rep. 
Nancy Mace (R-SC) about her potential interest. 
"On Rep. 
NANCY MACE interest in Senate," Brooks wrote. 
"Asked about interest in replacing the late Sen. 
Lindsey Graham, a person familiar with Mace’s thinking said: 'YOLO.'

Washington, D.C. litigator Richard J Oparil replied to this news with the comment, "Graham is not even cold yet." 
For her part, Mace hasn't made a public statement on seeking the seat, but she has posted multiple responses to Graham's death on both her personal and professional accounts. 
Both messages read the same. 
"South Carolina lost a giant last night," she stated. 
"We did not always agree, but no one ever questioned his love for South Carolina or the fight he brought to every room he walked into.

Chad Caton, a conservative pundit based in South Carolina, suggested Gov. 
Henry McMaster would appoint a replacement likely to win the approval of President Donald Trump and named Mace as a possibility . 
"I’m sure Trump will have a huge say as to who McMaster appoints," he wrote. 
"These are early real discussions in SC because all of you will wake up to crazy s---." 
South Carolina state law sets a specific timeline for when and how Graham can be replaced on the November ballot, according to New York Times reporter Bayliss Wagner . 
The filing period spans from July 21, the second Tuesday after his death, to July 28 and a special primary would take place on Aug. 
11, Wanger reported. 
A runoff, if necessary, would take place on Aug 25.
