'Fun workplace!' Mockery abounds over Republican lawmaker's creepy gifts to female staff 88%

A GOP lawmaker was roundly mocked on Monday after a new report revealed that he had bought a creepy gift for some of his staffers.
Axios reported that Rep.
Chuck Edwards (R-NC) purchased blue and pink handguns for some of his female staffers.
One staffer told the outlet that she "awkwardly" accepted it because she feared Edwards would retaliate against her if she didn't, and later disposed of the weapon.
The report raised further questions about previous incidents of Edwards' reported inappropriate behavior towards female staffers.
Reports indicate he has also singled out female staff members in their early 20s for "special attention" and has written borderline intimate letters to staffers when they leave his office.
Political analysts mocked Edwards on social media.

Tommy Vietor, a former Obama administration staffer and co-host of "Pod Save America," posted to his 540,000 followers on X.
"Congressmen who attempt to seduce or who have sex with staffers (most of whom are in their early twenties) are abusing their power, part eleventeen million," Shannon Watts, a best-selling author and political commentator, told her 544,000 followers on X.
"This is not normal," former Republican lawmaker Adam Kinzinger posted to his 1.1 million followers on X.
"When are you going to expel this creep @GOP?"
Ally Sammarco, a Democratic political strategist, posted to her 99,000 followers on X.
