More than two dozen international tall ships and historic vessels as well as military aircraft will arrive by sea and air in Baltimore for Sail250 Maryland commemorative events between June 24 and 30.
The public can visit the ships free of charge (no tickets required) at the Inner Harbor, Tide Point, Maritime Park, Fells Point and Baltimore Peninsula.
See schedule, subject to change, of arriving ships and the location and times of tours.
On Saturday and Sunday (June 27 and 28), festivals will be held at the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Baltimore Peninsula, with an airshow taking place between noon and 4 p.m. over the Middle Branch of the Patapsco River.
(Practice runs can be viewed on Friday.)
The show will feature the U.S.
Navy Blue Angels, Air Force F-16 Vipers, British Royal Air Force Red Arrows and Patrouille de France.
Public viewing areas will be set up at Fort McHenry, Baltimore Peninsula and Canton Waterfront Park.
The public may also view the flybys, aerobatic stunts and high-speed maneuvers from private boats and other permitted vessels as long as they remain outside the restricted red boundary (see below).
Cromwell Street, the east end of Fort Avenue and other South Baltimore roads will be closed to traffic on Friday and over the weekend.
Because parking is limited, the public is encouraged to use free Harbor Connector water taxis, which link Waterfront Park in Canton and Maritime Park on Thames Street with Locust Point.
Additional taxis will ferry passengers between Federal Hill and Pier 5 on Pratt Street.
The Charm City Circulator will add buses on its Banner and Cherry routes, and MTA will shuttle spectators along Fort Avenue to Fort McHenry.
