Lynn Smiegocki, 54 of Southington (formerly New Britain) passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, with her family by her side.
She was the daughter of Phyllis Smiegocki and the late Robert Smiegocki.
She leaves her brother Robert Jr and Zoila Smiegocki, her aunt and Uncle Paul and Katherine Marcinczyk, her aunt Mary Ann, and Richard Arian of Alabama, she leaves behind her cousins Paul Marcinczyk Jr of Southington, Michael and Christian and their children Ella and Maddox of Glastonbury, Robbie and Ann Lewonczyk of Tennessee, Susan, and John Sheady of Alabama.
Nephew, Alex Jarrin and Isabelle Acevedo of Bristol, Niece, Patricia and Luis Velez-Trujillo and their children Camila and Emelia from Cuenca Ecuador.
She also leaves behind her extended family in Ecuador, as well as her special friends, Stace and Sarah, and the many friends she made throughout the years while working at Walmart.
She was an extraordinarily strong person, and nothing kept her down!
She taught us all that no matter what was going on in your life there was always a bright side to look at.
She was an employee of Walmart in Southington.
She loved going to the Elks Bingo on Mondays and She liked going to Ocean City, Maryland every year with her family to visit the horses at Assateague Island.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Lynn’ family on Friday, August 7, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Home at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington.
Funeral service and words of remembrance will be shared at the conclusion of the visitation at 6:00 p.m.
Burial will be held privately.
