Theatre Review: ‘Spamalot’ is a fantastic, fourth-wall-breaking frenzy
The North American tour of “Spamalot,” the award-winning comedy musical “lovingly ripped off” from “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,” is currently in Atlanta.
Like its source material, “Spamalot” follows King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table as they embark on a quest to find the Holy Grail.
A lot of the stage show will be familiar to fans of the film, including the migrating coconut, the slow-to-admit-defeat Black Knight, and the Rabbit of Caerbannog.
The show, which opened on July 21 and is presented by Regions Bank Broadway in Atlanta, is a crude, fast-paced, fourth-wall-breaking frenzy that will please both Monty Python fans and newbies alike.

‘The Dink’ feels like an afterthought of a comedy
WEEKLY FILM REVIEW | BY SAMMIE PURCELL
Josh Greenbaum-directed narrative comedies have a patchy history.
In 2021, he directed the Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo vehicle “Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar,” an undersung hero of the absurdist comedy oeuvre.
A couple of years later, we got the CGI dog comedy “Strays”  a far less successful outing, to say the least.
“The Dink” is an inoffensive, forgettable comedy that only halfway plays to Johnson and the rest of the cast’s strengths.
It’s not goofy or funny enough to be memorable, and often feels like a bit of an afterthought.
