The next walk takes place Sat., Aug. 29, 2026, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Rodney Cook Sr.
Park’s Outdoor Classroom, near the play area, and focuses on Lifestyle Medicine .
Every Walk with a Doc begins with insights from a healthcare professional on the month’s topic, followed by a leisurely walk through the park and continued conversation with a medical professional.
Participants move at their own pace and choose their own distance, making it an easy way for people of all ages and fitness levels to build healthier habits in a welcoming environment.

Walk with a Doc takes place on the last Saturday of every month, March through November, with a different health topic each time.

Following each walk, Piedmont Healthcare’s Mobile Health Vehicle, made possible through support from Google, is on site offering free health screenings for the community.
It’s one part of the Beltline’s broader commitment to expanding access to free wellness programming, which also includes hundreds of free fitness classes throughout the year.
