A 17-year-old male was in critical condition after a shooting Friday afternoon in West Garfield Park, officials said.
The teen was sitting in a vehicle in the 3800 block of West Madison Street around 4:53 p.m., when he was approached by two unknown people, according to Chicago police.
The two fired multiple gunshots at the teen, police said, and he sustained seven gunshot wounds.
He then self-transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
Detectives are investigating.
